Antique brass elephant figurine toy from India features a rustic texture that adds a perfect touch of other worldly curiosity to any space. I love the subtle,  colorful patina overall, likely from a Holi celebration. The slit on the back held a removable rider at one point which is no longer with it and it would have balanced on wheels at one point. 
 
This one of several figurines I purchased on my travels in India, which was originally from Kashmere and purchased from antique dealers who like so many, had to uproot their lives and relocated for safety.
