Mexican Saltillo sarape blanket features a green background with vibrant, multi-colored, graduated rainbow stripes and flags representing Mexico and the United States i the distinctive shape of a heart, perhaps representing unity. I love the warmth, quality and craftsmanship exuded from these southwestern textiles which has been compromised in newer, mass produced versions.

Approx 1940's

Fair vintage condition, this textile is considered 'cutter' quality because it's fringe is sparse and there are some large rips, which makes it suitable for upcycling into pillows, seat covers or other projects. Flaws are clarified in last two photos.

Measurements in inches: 88" x 49" without fringe.
