L'unica Skincare: A Calming Oasis

L'unica Skincare is 'Passionate about providing an experience of mind, body, and soul rejuvenation from head to toe.' I had the pleasure of furnishing and photographing this space for Owner and Esthetician Savina in its first location; and later in this second location when it relocated to Talent.

Gorgeous natural light bathes the sitting area. Our biggest design challenge was working with this two-tone color scheme of purple and teal walls, as Savina had a short transition window and needed to be opened for business quickly. So I sourced this chinoiserie room divider to tie all the colors together and separate the treatment space from the sitting area. Sometimes a splurge that works double duty is well worth it!

The treatment area is lusciously dark and soothing in contrast to the bright sitting area, thanks to the same partition, with an appropriately more sparse design on this side. What you can't see beneath those soft sheets is a heated amethyst crystal Biomat. As a client, I've been relaxed to the point of falling asleep during a facial here on more than one occasion!

Here is another view of the sitting area. I selected the chinoiserie chairs for L'unica's first location, and Savina loved them so much that we chose the rest of our furnishings around them for this space. The distressed, taupe stained-concrete floor provides an earthy patina and grounding vibe that balances out the black furnishings.

Savina generously trusted my direction with the space, making this small-budget, quick-turnaround project a positive experience that we both enjoyed.

Other perks to working with L'unica? Being surrounded by luxurious Eminence testers, of course! Now that the space is complete, I pop in for the occasional facial where Savina pampers my skin with the perfect treatment, and I leave all aglow, knowing I had a part in creating this cozy and calming skincare oasis.
